White Frog

I don't do this very often but this film actually inspired me to do a blog post about it. White Frog, It is a coming age story, aimed at young adults, about 15-year-old Nick, a neglected teen with mild Asperger’s syndrome whose life is changed forever when tragedy hits his family. It is a story of the power of family, friendship, and love. 

   

First of all, it featured varieties of great cast, Harry Shun Jr. (Glee), Booboo Steward (Twilight Series), Gregg Sulkin (Pretty Little Liars), Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) and Joan Chen with B.D Wong and others. I will be honest, the movie is an independent film therefore do not expect much from the cinematography, the editing and the show was a little bit slow and some parts were cut weirdly, but I must say, ignore this minor glitch, you have a wonderful, heart warming and incredible film.

White Frog touches topics that I find society is so ignorant about. It talks about an all american family which looks perfect from the outside but isn't perfect. Who defines perfect anyway? I believe this is a phase many people encounter, trying to keep up to be the perfect child in a perfect family, but what is perfect anyway? Nobody is perfect and that idea of perfect set by parents to the child often torn the child.

It touches two topic, Asperger’s syndrome and Homosexuality. What is Asperger’s syndrome? Well, there is ignorance. I won't explain much, but it has to do with difficulties in social interaction, look it up. We see kids who are socially awkward and classified them as weirdos but what struggles are they going through? What can parents do to help their children with it? I think this tackles the topic, not fully, but it gives us an idea.

Next, homosexuality. It's a common topic, and much common nowadays. This movie tackles it as well. A perfect family from the outside with a closeted son. Many parents and people in general think that it is a sin or abnormal, I won't even waste my time arguing with that, I think people have a choice with who they love and it shouldn't even be a topic. The agony of the child going through this "perfect" family is horrid and I think this shouldn't even be a concern to parents, but the hard truth is it does and I think this film tackled it wonderfully showing the all aspects of it.

I will just quote the movie and I think even though you find out about this, it doesn't affect you watching the movie.

"Nick, I loved your brother, and he loved me."

"I’m gay. So what?! Well that’s a crime? And you know what? We never even held hands in public, why? Because of people like you and your stupid homophobic family. You think you love your brother? No. I love your brother. You didn’t even know who your brother was."

The quote speaks for itself and it is so beautifully said.

My fashion blog, go check it out! Really hope it's going somewhere. After some incident happen, I am so much more determine to make this fashion thing happen! Somehow, I want to work in the fashion industry in fashion capital like New York, Tokyo, Paris. Anywhere! My dream? What had happen to me?!

Before I die...

What will you do? I guess it's a question we all need to think about. The saddest part in life is not death but to die without accomplishing what we want. Why not we do this? Take out a pencil and paper out now and write down as many of things you want to do before you die and actually do them. I know I need that. I guess the saying is true where it goes, "you have live until you actually lived!" Bet I didn't make that one up. So what is your before I die wish?

5 things came in mind, what's yours? I bet I could write a full list of things I want to do, and I shall do that! Challenge accepted!

What's been happening in my life? I know you guys question this after I said I will update regularly, but no, I did not. =( I guess I suck at promises, so no more promises, but I will update as much as possible though. Life has been busy! Like really busy. 5th week into my semester 5 of Architecture and not one day I'm free. Nope, NOT ONE FREAKING DAY! I got to hold on, because I need good grades for Master! Oh god help me!



I started a fashion blog. Men's fashion blog to be more exact. It's always a wish of mine and a thing I wanted to do before I die! Guess that's accomplish. So do check it out and support me please? I don't know where it might head, but I do hope it's heading somewhere.

Bittersweet Farewell 私は日本語を理解していない

I actually manage to continue blogging, even though it has been a week, but I told you guys I will! So here we are.

Bittersweet farewell, I know I have been helping numerous farewell over the past few years and sometimes, we meet back within a year. Somehow I guess a farewell it's not only how long we won't meet, but a simple good luck wish in the form of a dinner that your life overseas will be a beautiful one. Same goes to this friend of mine, Moses or we call him Loong Ann.

Okay so the photos above is only bloopers to nicer pictures that I will soon upload when he flies to Japan! Well, I guess here is the part where I type some emotional stuff about how him and me known each other since 13 years old and were best friends till now, 8 years and counting. I guess, what's need to be said, I know he knows it and others that were not said, I shall message him directly. So I'll just tell you guys that he was a very close friend of mine, even though we don't hang out in the same gang in junior high, but he knew all my stuff and was always, and I mean ALWAYS there for me when I needed someone to talk to. Problem not always are solved, but at least there will always be an ear to listen. I am grateful for that and to have him as my close friend.

Back to his farewell dinner, it was just a small farewell dinner between us close friends, 4 of us to be exact, since one of my friend, Viken bail on us. We decided to go somewhere far with good food and buy Moses dinner, since we couldn't afford the watch he wanted. Not sure whether should I mention it here. =P

You could say late is a tradition for us Malaysians so got myself juice works while waiting.

 Dinner was hard to decide, but Syh Won manage to persuade us to Namoo on the Park @ Publika which tasted far better than what I expect, half of it was because I'm hungry though. Haha! But seriously, it was delicious. It's a Korean theme restaurant but more westernise. Serves more burger and  pasta than the traditional bibimbap.

I tried it's Beef burger with rice cake replacing the bread. It was delicious and a reasonable price as well. Screw diet for a night and just enjoy!

They even serve simple bolognese pasta.

Have you ever tried sweet potato latte? It's surprisingly tasty!

 The desert, sweet potato cake was literally sex! Foodgasm, totally delicious, although it's quite filling, but it was very very very nice! Repeating the very because I'm emphasizing on it! Order to share with a few friends, you won't regret it!

Averagely prepare 30 to 50 MYR per person and you can enjoy the food here and even change to keep, so definitely highly recommended!

Something out of the topic, I'm starting up a new fashion blog which I will talk about fashion, more on male, and some other stuff. It will be more short blog post that I go through web and see nice fashion to talk about it, so expect lots of tips and trends, hopefully update everyday or every other day. Bangkok 2013 (1)

2013, a new start to a new year.

First new year resolution, to blog more. It's already the mid of March and it's only my first post this year. I know I'm kind of behind schedule in blogging, but I want to start blogging again, maybe no one's gonna read it, but still, I really do hope there is. 

Starting afresh, therefore the new layout will be up soon, so deal with it right now. Haha. I promise no more delaying and stopping. So let's get started!

I kind of lost the fire to blog, sorry about that, but let me pick it up with a small post first though. I'm trying this thing where I try to seperate my blog post when different style were involve, so at least you get to know what I'm wearing and where to buy it. I hope it's okay blogging this way.

Without further explanation, this is my trip to Bangkok! Yes, hangover 3! Haha, though I didn't get drunk here. So if you are in Bangkok, where is a must go? Sky Bar, lebua hotel and resort.

It's a wonderful bar with a restaurant located at the 63rd floor of lebua hotel and resort. With its stunning view out towards the city of Bangkok, this is definitely a place to go if you are a tourist there. Price of drinks and food are quite expensive because of the atmosphere, but the service is great.

I would say it's a great place to chill out with your friends, maybe get a drink or two and even meet new people.
